Favorite Louisa, VA Locations
Confession: Moving to Louisa initially made me anxious about whether I would enjoy it in the long run, but now I have fallen in love with this place. The people are fantastic, the small-town ambiance is delightful, and having the lake nearby adds an element of fun to my life!
Upon moving here, I quickly realized I needed to find session locations that are easily accessible for families yet dynamic.
So, Here are my top three favorite spots in Louisa:
Main Street
The first location that comes to mind is Main Street. Featuring its iconic old courthouse, colorful buildings, and scattered greenery, it offers a diverse range of backgrounds that are conveniently accessible. And if itβs the right time of year, we could walk to Frosties for some Ice cream to end the session on a sweet note!
Northeast Creek Reservoir
This spot is a hidden treasure! It serves as the water source for the town of Louisa and is both beautiful and secluded. The lake is restricted to non-motorized boats like kayaks, canoes, and rowboats, creating a peaceful and charming fishing location. It's also ideal for family photos! The area is usually quiet with few visitors, offering stunning water views just a short distance from town.
Louisa Arts Park
Louisa Arts Park boasts charming historic buildings (stay tuned for some upcoming photos!), a small trail loop, and a playground, making it an ideal setting for a family photoshoot with young children. Picture moving from the historic structures to the little trail and wrapping up the session at the playground for some family enjoyment. Can you imagine a better way to capture those precious moments?
These are definitely not the only spots in Louisa, but these are some of my favorites!
