A Friend Date in Gordonsville
Just a friendly reminder to take a stroll with your friends and their children for a fun outing! It had been a while since I spent time with my dear friend Brittany, and I realized how fast our kids are growing and how much we've evolved alongside them. Truly living our best days right now.
If you haven't visited yet, Gordonsville is a charming town nestled between Louisa and Charlottesville, VA. Walking down their main street feels like stepping into an old movie or show. The town even has a train track where trains pass by regularly. And let's be honest, who doesn't love trains, especially kids?!
We stumbled upon a small tree in a quaint square near an old building, perhaps a government one, though I can't be certain. What stands out to me is the time spent together, watching our four children play and try their hand at climbing the tree. Sharing tender moments, comforting scraped knees and exchanging heartfelt words with a friend. Indeed, life is made up of these precious, fleeting moments.
At the end of our casual get-together, we visited a nearby coffee and bakery spot called Krecke Kakes. They provide a kids' table with books, so we enjoyed our treats while reading to the kids. Let's not make it too idealistic; we are still mothers dealing with little ones - some trying to run off and others leaving crumbs all over.
